Often abbreviated AS or AMS, Ammonium Sulphate is produced from a reaction of sulfuric acid and

heated ammonia. AS is often a byproduct of other manufacturing processes, such as production of steel

and nylon. Historically AS was one of the first and most commonly used dry fertilizer products, however

it is currently not used as extensively since its N content is not as high as in other products like Urea

and Ammonia. It is, however, still valued for S content and as a readily-available form of N.

Although Granular Ammonium Sulphate generally mixes well with other products, it is not

compatible with the following:Magnesium Oxide

Granular Ammonium Sulphate can be compatible with the following under certain circumstances:

Superphosphate, Sulphur Super 30 and Dry Lime.

Segregation may occur when mixed with product with differences of particle size.
